Lippincott's May - Wm. Carqueville

Lippincott's May, in which the effective juxtaposition of bright contrasting colors produces an effect of gaiety similar to that of a haphazard nosegay of country flowers. Most of the designs for Lippincott's include a realistic representation of the magazine itself. (Reference: Keay, p.23)
