Curtiss Hawk H-87 A-2 Kittyhawk Mk.I

The Curtiss Hawk H-87 A-2 Kittyhawk Mk.I. No. 14 Sqn., "X" Wing, RCAF, Western Air Command. Attached to the 11th Pursuit Sqn., 343rd Fighter Group, 11th Air Force, Amchitka and Adak Island, Alaska. This plane was used for the Alentians Campaigns from March to August of 1943. Inside holds an Allison V 12 cylinder motor rated at 1,150 hp for take off, and has a max speed of 362 mph.
