CITTA DIE VERCELLI, (1682)This map of the town Vercelli was completely based on Italian sources and belongs to the fifth and last volume of the Italian town book by Joan Blaeu (1598-1673). Each town book was dedicated to a special part of Italy. Apart from some city plans and city views each volume includes a large number of topographical prints of cities and buildings. The fifth volume, published posthumous by his heirs, was dedicated to the cities of Savoye.
