The PROVINCE of CONNAVGT, Johannes Jassonius (1646)In 1646 Johannes Janssonius (1588-1664) published an atlas of the United Kingdom. This atlas was for the greatest part copied from an atlas that had been published shortly before by his neighbour, Willem Jansz. Blaeu (1571 1573-1638). This map of Irish province Connacht, originally published in 1636, was one of the few originel contributions by Janssonius to his atlas.
