NAVARRA | REGNVM, Willem Jansz. Blaeu (1638)This map shows the Spanish province Navarra in North-Spain and the western Pyrenees, the natural border with France. The map was published in 1638 by Willem Jansz. Blaeu (1571-1638) and later by his son Joan Blaeu (1598-1673). Though Blaeu speaks in the title of the kingdom Navarra, `Navarra Regnum', this was no longer the case. The kingdom of Navarra was already part of Spain since 1512.
