Wild Cat

The wild cat is the UK's only native feline species and is also the ancestor of our pet cats. These cats look very much like a larger version of a domestic tabby cat, which was thought to have derived from the wild cat. They are solitary and both males and females maintain territories. Males overlap ranges with females but femals will not overlap ranges with other females.
