1659 The Holy Land

These maps usually came in series of six and served to show the geographical locations of actions described in the Old and New testament. A general map of the Holy Land was always included. This map was originally published by Claes Jansz. Visscher (1587-1652). This version of the map was published in 1659 by his son Nicolaas Visscher I (1618-1679).
